Holiday Season Around the Corner

Being in the retail industry I have a tendency to lose track of what season we are in, especially when I live in Texas. We generally have two, warm and hot. So I look for certain products that tells me what time of the year it is. About a week ago I was walking through the store, specifically by the beer cooler, and noticed that Octoberfest and Pumpkin beers were sitting on our shelves. It hit me that we are about to go into O.N.D (October, November, and December). That means holiday parties and gift giving are what people will start thinking about. So, I started to think about my next post and what am I going to say in it. Then I thought about what I was doing today when I was at the store.

With the holidays quickly approaching us, there are going to be a lot of looking for and requesting items that I may not have in our store. I want ya'll to rest assured that I will do my best to fill your requests for this holiday season.

Though I want ya'll to remember that it may take time for me to get your requests and we need to plan for it.

Here is what I have been suggesting:

If you are planning a party of any type, please give me at least two (2) weeks if possible to make sure that we can get in the items that you want. I understand to pull off an entertainment event can be somewhat stressful, especially during the holiday season, so this allows me time to find alternatives if your initial preference is unavailable and make sure that you are happy with the alternative.

If you need to order something as a gift, let us know as soon as you get an idea. This is pretty important because when giving gifts we tend to look for items that our loved ones and friends generally won't buy for themselves .Another key part of this planning is letting me know when you need it by because a lot of us travel for the holidays. Some of these ideas may require more work to find for you, but remember I will try to get it in IF I can. If I can't get it in then I will let you know and I will try to find something of the same caliber for you.

I pride myself on doing everything that I possibly can to get special requests in or finding something that will fit the bill if I can't get a specific request in because of availability. Let me help you make this holiday season a memorable one!

I look forward to hearing from or seeing you!!

Eberle Cabernet/Syrah

Here's one that has caught my attention...The winemaker's tribute to the land downunder. The ripe Syrah throws down delicious blueberry and full blown meaty flavors, while the Cabernet packs in the full bodied plumminess (yes, I went there). One more wonderful bottle of juice produced by the winemaker at Eberle. Come and see me about this wine at under $22 with the Key discount.

Hollis Pinot Noir

From winemaker Paul Hobbs comes another Spec-tacular wine. This juice comes from some prized vineyards throughout the Russian River Valley. It offers up vanilla, spice, and everything nice to accommodate the wonderful cassis, black cherry with hints of chocolate for a long finish. This elegant but eloquent Pinot definitely shows what it means to be a hidden value coming in under $35.
